Scott & Ritter is proud to have created a culture of safe construction practices, with safety being our number one priority. All employees are kept up-to-date with the latest OSH safety training. As of 2022, Scott & Ritter has maintained a Kentucky Worker's Compensation Experience Modifier (EMOD) rating of 0.75 or below for four consecutive years. Our EMOD has been below the industry average of 1.00 for five consecutive years.
Recently, all foremen and supervisors underwent an intensive 10-week in-house training session. Safety was the primary focus. Engineering principles and leadership sessions were also included. These courses go above and beyond the required OSHA training, and helps Scott & Ritter, Inc. separate itself as an elite organization in the region.
All new hires must pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical examination to ensure mind frame and physical abilities. All employees are subject to random drug screening. We have adopted the DOT drug and alcohol standards to apply to all employees, regardless of safety-sensitive function.
